Frequently asked questions
Yes! I come to your home or workplace in my fully equipped mobile grooming van. All I need is:
A flat and safe parking space near your property with at least 4 metres of height clearance (to avoid low-hanging branches, carports, etc.)
Sufficient driveway width and turning space for van access
Optional: Access to a standard power outlet within 10 metres (I carry a 10m cable with a built-in safety circuit breaker).
💡Pro-Tip: If you’re able to provide power access, a $5 courtesy discount will be applied to your grooming fee as a small token of appreciation for helping us minimise generator use.
If you don’t have a suitable driveway for parking, I’ll do my best to park as close to your property as possible. However, in cases where only paid parking is available, any parking fees incurred will be added to your grooming invoice. (you will be informed about the parking fees in advance)

I use premium, pet-safe products including options for sensitive skin. If your dog requires a veterinary-prescribed or special shampoo, you're welcome to provide it. I’ll be more than happy to use it as part of their grooming session.

Our grooming fees depend on several factors: your dog’s breed, size, age, coat type and condition, required services, and their temperament. We provide an estimated price range when you book and confirm the final cost after assessing your dog. Any extra charges (e.g., for matting removal) will be discussed with you before we start.
Once your puppy has completed their second round of vaccinations (usually around 12 weeks), they’re good to go! Early grooming helps your pup get used to the sights, sounds, and sensations of grooming, which makes their future visits stress-free.
I work solo, so your dog’s safety and comfort (and mine!) are always my top priorities. If your pup is very nervous, reactive, or has previously shown signs of aggression & biting, then please let me know before booking.
Every dog is different, and sometimes a gentle approach or shorter session can make all the difference. I’m happy to chat with you beforehand to see what might work. If I feel your dog would be more comfortable with extra support, I can recommend a trusted grooming salon with multiple handlers.
Let’s talk it through & I’ll always do my best to accommodate where I can.
I groom one dog at a time to give each pet my full attention and care. If you have more than one dog, I’ll groom them individually, one after the other.
For the safety of all pets in our care, we strongly recommend that all dogs are fully vaccinated before their grooming session.
If your dog is under 6 months old, proof of completed puppy vaccinations is mandatory before their first appointment.
If you’ve chosen not to vaccinate your dog, you may still book at your own risk and discretion. However, please note that Pawsome Purrfect will not be held responsible for any preventable illnesses your dog may contract as a result.
We reserve the right to refuse service if your pet appears visibly unwell or poses a risk to other pets.
You can pay me either by Eftpos, bank transfer or cash on the day of the groom.
Yes, I’m fully insured with AIG for public liability and pet handling.
Most grooming sessions take between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on your dog's size, coat condition, behaviour, and any special needs (like puppies or elderly dogs who may need extra care and breaks).
Gently touch your puppy’s paws, face, and ears daily. Use an electric toothbrush (turned on) near their body to get them used to clipper vibrations. You can also softly rub a spoon or brush handle on their face to simulate grooming tools.
For most dogs, brushing every 2–3 days is ideal, especially for medium to long coats. After beach trips or bush walks, always check and brush out any debris or tangles. Regular brushing prevents matting and keeps your dog comfortable.
Yes, please. It covers important information like vaccinations, cancellations, and pet safety. It helps ensure smooth appointments and protects both you and your pet.
It all depends on the dog's breed and temperament. Due to space constraints and safety of your dog and myself, some large & Giant breeds may not be able to accommodate in my mobile Van. Please get in touch with details to discuss the best option.
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid cancellation fees. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment (except in emergencies) will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours will be charged 50% of the grooming fee. No-shows will be charged the full grooming fee. We may require prepayment or deposits for future bookings based on your booking history. Any outstanding cancellation fees must be settled before future appointments can be confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
